Andrew Ferguson

This is the consultancy site for Andrew Ferguson. I have 30 years of experience in legal and administrative roles in councils and other public bodies,  with specialisms in property, transportation and planning law, as well as governance.

Past and current clients include the Standards Commission for Scotland, Perth & Kinross Council, and two other local authorities.

Amongst other books, I’m the author of Common Good Law (Edinburgh University Press, 2nd Edition, 2019) and co-author of Local Planning Reviews in Scotland (Avizandum, 2015). I write regularly on legal topics and give seminars and webinars on behalf of various providers including Central Law Training.
