This is the consultancy site for Andrew Ferguson. I have 30 years of experience in legal and administrative roles in Fife Council, Scotland's third biggest local authority,
with specialisms in property, transportation and planning law, as well as governance.
I also acted as Secretary and Legal Adviser to the South East Scotland Transport Partnership (SEStran) from its inception until 2016. I have acted as clerk to other organisations through my work at the Council, including Forth Estuary Transport Authority (FETA) and SESPlan, the Strategic Planning Authority for South East Scotland.
Amongst other books, I’m the author of Common Good Law (Edinburgh University Press, 2nd Edition, 2019) and co-author of Local Planning Reviews in Scotland (Avizandum, 2015). I write regularly on legal topics and give seminars and webinars on behalf of various providers including Central Law Training.
